Self-Speak

Present man, give the past a hug.

Tell the child within the adult

                                not to fear.

Learn again how to play and

Tilt your face to the sun.

Present woman, remember your dreams.

Nurture them as a baby cradled

                                in your arms.

Dare to differ, risk that chuckle,

And be kind, always, to yourself.

Present world, learn to love.

See the rivers, and the mountains;

                            be ever proud.

Speak with wisdom, hate all war,

And spin, with blue skies, in the stars.
