Dare I dare to dream

Of visions infinite, of worlds

Beyond sight, yet there

Within the folds of the brain?

Dare I speak of them

With tongue knotted by words

Incapable of describing

The joys which I see?

Yet, I must try, for

I cannot stop the reaching.

Weak human that I am,

I must still hold out the hand

And long for the stars

Forever beyond my fingers.

For they light my eyes,

And make me dream.

What if I stumble?

And, what if I never get

To that place, that circle

Of knowing I am there?

Then, I will have tried.

I made the journey, the

Path was used by my feet,

And, I will have lived.
